Remembrance Sunday
There was a real sense of camaraderie at the church when workers gathered to prepare for the annual Service of Remembrance. Everyone enjoyed the morning, whether they were cleaning the church, decorating with poppies or clearing leaves in the churchyard.
The church service was very well attended and culminated in the Act of Remembrance at 11 o’clock. The congregation was led across the road to the War Memorial by the choir and representatives of the uniformed organisations bearing their flags.
We were most grateful to all the motorists and passers-by who waited patiently while the two minute’s silence took place and we contemplated the sacrifices made during times of war.
