At the end of June we said ‘bye bye’ to our lovely Curate; Rev Jayne Shillito. Rev Jayne will be the Priest in Charge for the parishes of Biddenden and Smarden.
We bid a fond farewell to Rev Jayne and her family and we wish them all the very best on their new adventure.
Rev Jayne has issued the below message of thanks –
‘Dear All at RNWK Group of Churches,
I just wanted to thank you for all the love, support and encouragement you have shown to me throughout my time in curacy. I have loved getting to know you and I take many special memories with me as I move to Biddenden and Smarden.
I have been overwhelmed by your kindness, thoughtfulness and generosity.
My heartfelt thanks to you all for the overwhelmingly generous gift you collectively gave to us. I am deeply touched and humbled by your love.

In addition to the generous gift of money I was blown away by your thoughtfulness.
The wonderful framed pictures of Ash church and Longfield Church are truly beautiful and hold very special memories for me. I shall find prominent places to display them in Biddenden Rectory and I shall treasure them. Thank you also for the stunning vase engraved with RNWK Churches and a special message. I shall make good use of it and think of you all when I do.
Many thanks to those who were able to get to the Church Centre for the farewell service on Sunday 16th June, it was wonderful to be able to say goodbye in person. Thank you also to those who kindly sent their good wishes. Mark, my family and I are very grateful for your love and prayers as we move to Biddenden.
Thank you again for being the most amazing group of people. May God bless you richly and may you know the joy of His presence with you all every step.
